What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking Associate Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineers to contribute to signal and image processing systems used in mission-critical applications. You will work on algorithm design, implementation, and system-level analysis to extract actionable information from sensor data.
- Design and implement custom signal and image processing algorithms
- Prototype and test algorithms using MATLAB, C, Octave or similar tools
- Analyze and optimize system and algorithm performance (detection, estimation, sensitivity)
- Integrate signal-processing solutions into larger system architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet program requirements
- Research and evaluate new processing techniques and relevant technologies
Minimum Qualifications
This position may be hired at an Associate (Level 1) or Level 2. Candidates must meet ALL applicable requirements for the level applied.
Associate / Level 1 (typical)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field (completed or near completion)
- Coursework or relevant experience in Digital Signal Processing, Digital Communications, Digital Circuit Design, Programmable Logic, or Software Development
- Proficiency with MATLAB and experience with C or Octave
- Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher (unofficial transcripts required at application)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Level 2 (typical)
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline (completed or near completion)
- Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB and software development (C, C++)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Active government security clearance (preferred)
- Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded software design (Linux)
- Experience with wireless digital communications, modern digital modulation and modem design
- Familiarity with RADAR / Electronic Warfare (EW) signal processing algorithms
- RF receiver experience (link budget, sensitivity analysis, ADC/noise analysis, baseband conversion)
- FPGA and digital design experience (VHDL) is a plus
- Experience with software-defined radios, GNU Radio, or X-Midas
- Coursework or experience in Embedded System Design, RF System Design, RADAR or EW
Location & Clearance
- Work location: Cincinnati, OH (on-site at Confidential Client facilities)
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions that require a government security clearance
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Compensation & Benefits
- Level 1 salary range (estimate): $76,200 - $114,400 per year
- Level 2 salary range (estimate): $91,800 - $137,600 per year
These ranges are guidelines. Final offers consider experience, education, skills and market conditions. Additional pay elements (overtime, shift differential, bonuses) and benefits (health, life, disability, retirement savings, paid time off) may apply.
