Role overview

This is an entry-level, contract Drafting/Litigation Paralegal position supporting litigation matters for a Confidential Client that represents homeowners in insurance-coverage disputes. The role emphasizes legal drafting, litigation support, and research—providing hands-on experience similar to a law clerk while working under attorney supervision.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and draft litigation documents (motions, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, affidavits, and related filings)
• Review and analyze case materials, contracts, policies, and evidence for factual and legal issues
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys
• Assist with pleadings, exhibits, and court filings in state and federal matters
• Organize case files, maintain calendars for deadlines, and track procedural tasks
• Support discovery activities including document review, privilege logs, and deposition preparation
• Use practice tools and AI-assisted drafting tools under attorney direction
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with court rules and filing requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field required; Political Science, Pre‑Law, or related studies preferred
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; strong writing ability required
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
• Professional maturity and understanding of legal filing and confidentiality obligations
• Ability to meet deadlines, own assignments, and work with minimal supervision
• Comfortable receiving and acting on feedback; committed to continuous learning
• Familiarity with AI tools and legal research platforms is a plus

Preferred / Additional Attributes

• Juris Doctor (JD) or advanced legal degree (LLM) considered a plus but not required
• Prior exposure to litigation workflows, document drafting, or law-clerk experience
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and professional integrity
