About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking a Documentation Control Analyst to support R&D and engineering services. In this role you will manage engineering change processes, maintain material masters and BOMs in SAP, run drawing checks, and perform minor CAD/document edits. You will work with engineering teams across the U.S. to ensure changes are implemented cleanly and production documentation remains accurate.
What You’ll Do
- Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for completeness, clarity and conformance to ECO requirements; coordinate corrections with engineers.
- Create and update Material Masters and Bills of Material (BOMs) in SAP for engineering changes.
- Release ECOs through SAP and distribute notifications and documentation packages to impacted internal teams, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Conduct batch drawing checks using AI-assisted tools to confirm conformance to internal and industry drafting and parts-design standards (ASME, IEEE).
- Perform minor non-design edits to SolidWorks / AutoCAD drawings and to Word/Excel documents.
- Support the Copy Exact (CE) program by flagging CE parts and ensuring CE-specific ECO compliance; work with CE Program Managers on communications and approvals.
- Respond to Engineering Help Desk tickets and clarify documentation questions with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase documentation control efficiency.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in CAD, drafting, technology, mechanical engineering or related field — or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years in documentation control and/or engineering change control processes (strong entry-level candidates considered).
- Strong working knowledge of SAP; preference for candidates with SAP PLM / ECTR experience. Experience with other MRP/ERP or PLM/PDM systems considered.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Access, Word).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Sales).
- Experience in semiconductor, high‑tech, data storage or capital equipment industries is a plus.
- Highly desired: deep experience executing SAP transactions and SAP PLM (ECTR; check parts in/out; create DIRs).
Salary & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $78,089.00 - $104,119.00 per year, plus a bonus opportunity. Final pay will consider location, experience, and other job-related factors.
