What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Document Control Specialist to support sanitation and quality activities at a nutrition manufacturing facility. This entry-level role provides hands-on exposure to GMP-driven operations and offers opportunities to learn quality systems, sanitation best practices, and cross-functional coordination.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMP requirements, and sanitation procedures across assigned plant areas.
• Lead and prioritize daily and weekly sanitation activities to maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Monitor cleanliness and GMP readiness through routine inspections of cleaning routes and assigned zones.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and basic training support to sanitation team members and temporary/contract personnel.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations to submit, track, and monitor work orders, preventive maintenance (PMs), and repair requests.
• Manage sanitation-related inventory (cleaning agents, gowning supplies), place orders, and resolve supply or vendor service issues.
• Troubleshoot sanitation equipment issues and partner with maintenance to ensure timely resolution.
• Oversee third-party vendor performance for sanitation services; conduct regular vendor reviews and address corrective actions.
• Document sanitation activities, corrective actions, and continuous-improvement efforts to support timely product release and audit readiness.
• Communicate status, risks, and improvement opportunities to site leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Support ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work the posted shift and meet the physical and attendance requirements of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic computer skills for logging work orders, using inventory systems, and completing electronic documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and an ability to follow written procedures and safety rules.

Preferred (not required):

• Previous manufacturing or sanitation experience (food, nutrition, pharmaceutical, or related GMP environment).
• Familiarity with GMP, FDA, OSHA, or other regulatory standards.
• Experience coordinating with vendors or managing service contracts.
• Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance coordination experience.

Shift & Compensation

• Shift: Day shift — 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (may change based on business needs).
• Compensation: $19.05 - $38.15 per hour (base range as provided by the client; actual pay may vary by location and experience).
• Employment type: Full-time.
