What You’ll Do
This Distribution and Transportation Agent role (Eagan, MN) is an entry-level position within a Logistics & Warehouse environment. You will support day-to-day movement and distribution of freight — with a heavy focus on ground/road transportation and basic warehouse/distribution activities — while learning core operational systems and compliance requirements.
- Take ownership of an assigned customer portfolio: bookings, pick-up scheduling, carrier coordination, and delivery follow-through
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment, billing, and inventory data in operational systems
- Track & trace truck transportation shipments and generate status reports
- Coordinate domestic and (when applicable) international shipments with vendors and receivers
- Communicate shipment delays, identify root causes, and work autonomously to resolve issues to meet customer delivery expectations
- Support timely and accurate client billing and documentation
- Learn and apply U.S. export and Dangerous Goods compliance basics under supervision
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
- Meet company KPIs and compliance standards; participate in continuous improvement and training programs
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, or equivalent training (entry-level candidates with relevant coursework or internships considered)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and comfortable learning new operational systems
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
- Ability to follow safety procedures and operate standard warehouse tools (pallet jack, handheld scanners). Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Combination of desk-based and warehouse activities (inventory handling, staging, light lifting)
- Use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier) and warehouse tools (pallet jack, scanners; forklift where applicable)
- Occasional attendance at meetings in alternate on-site locations
- Ability to write and record information by hand as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected base salary: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
- May be eligible for a bonus after the first year of continuous employment
