Role summary
This is an entry-level Distribution and Transportation Agent role for a confidential client in the Logistics & Warehouse industry. The position focuses on ground/road freight and distribution activities, combining office-based shipment coordination with hands-on warehouse support. This role includes structured training, opportunities for advancement, and a competitive hourly rate of $23–$24/hr.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of an assigned customer portfolio and manage day-to-day bookings and scheduling
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment and billing data in operational systems
- Track and trace truck transportation shipments; prepare shipment status reports
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers, suppliers, and receivers
- Support basic warehouse functions and inventory management (pallet jack, scanners)
- Learn and follow US Export and Dangerous Goods compliance requirements
- Communicate delays proactively and resolve operational issues to meet client delivery needs
- Meet company KPIs and compliance standards
Qualifications
- 2 years of logistics experience or equivalent training preferred
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficient with common office software (MS Excel, MS Word) and able to learn operational systems
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English
- Able to perform both desk work and light-to-moderate warehouse tasks (lifting, use of equipment)
Compensation & Benefits
- Expected base pay: $23/hr to $24/hr
- May be eligible for a bonus after one year of continuous employment
