Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting in Methuen, MA. This is an entry-level role with training provided and clear pathways for growth. Full-time and part-time roles are available. Second shift, overnight, and weekend schedules are common.
What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on personal care and daily support to adults with developmental disabilities, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Support residents with daily living skills: grooming, dressing, meal preparation, and household routines.
- Perform light housekeeping to keep shared spaces and personal areas safe and tidy.
- Implement clinical, educational, and vocational programs under established Individual and Behavior Support Plans.
- Observe, record, and report program data and progress accurately.
- Work with the team to create a therapeutic, community-oriented environment.
Compensation & Sign‑on
- Pay rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (pay based on experience and MAP Certification).
- Full‑time candidates may be eligible for a $1,500 sign‑on bonus ($750 at hire; $750 after 6 months).
Schedule & Location
- Location: Methuen, Massachusetts (in‑person, residential home).
- Primarily second shift, overnight, and/or weekend coverage.
- Full‑time and part‑time roles available.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Experience with behavior management preferred but not required.
- Comfortable providing hands‑on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; must be able to read fluently.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
