What You’ll Do
Come join a Confidential Client as a Direct Service Worker supporting individuals in a Community Crisis Stabilization program. This entry-level role focuses on day-to-day support for people experiencing mental health and/or substance-use challenges. You’ll work on a team to help participants increase independence, follow individualized plans, and safely integrate into the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise daily activities of program residents and provide ongoing support, guidance and role modeling
- Help implement individualized treatment plans and document progress toward goals
- Monitor and document medication administration and assist with medication management
- Assist residents with basic financial tasks and community integration activities
- Provide crisis intervention and contact emergency services when required
- Maintain a clean, safe, home-like environment for participants
- Communicate participant progress, mental status, and any notable changes in daily notes
- Attend weekly staff and treatment meetings and participate in required trainings
- Ensure paperwork, reports, and certifications are current and completed on schedule
- Remain alert and responsive throughout scheduled shifts
Compensation & Schedule
- Starting rate: $18.50 / hour
- Estimated annual pay (informational): ~$32,897 per year
- Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday 2:00pm–10:00pm; Friday–Saturday 8:00am–4:00pm Note: pay and hours reflect the current posting and may change based on role or location.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED required
- OR Bachelor’s degree (preferred) — or High School Diploma/GED plus at least 1 year of related experience
- Strong interpersonal, judgment and coaching skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use basic computer applications for documentation and reporting
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, client-centered, team-oriented environment
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, have access to an operational, insured vehicle, and be willing to transport clients as required
Preferred / Desirable
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations
- Prior experience in social services, mental health, crisis stabilization, or substance use support
- Demonstrated ability to follow individualized treatment plans and document outcomes
Training & Certifications
- Attend and actively participate in core trainings and maintain required certifications, such as:
- CPR / First Aid
- Crisis Management
- Medication Administration Protocols (MAP) or equivalent
- Additional on-the-job training will be provided as required by the program
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This role operates in a residential / community treatment setting.
- You must remain alert and engaged during the entire shift and be able to respond to crises.
- Occasional lifting, escorting, and community travel may be required.
