What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a detail-oriented, self-motivated Digital Product Manager to own product workflows from discovery through delivery and ongoing site operations. You will partner with editorial, business stakeholders, in-house developers, and external vendors to deliver roadmapped projects, prioritize bug fixes and paywall work, and report on site performance.

  • Lead daily and weekly stand-ups with the digital director and development team
  • Maintain and organize Asana tickets to communicate scope, status, blockers, and priorities
  • Translate technical status and trade-offs into clear, non-technical updates for stakeholders
  • Create and maintain product roadmaps for medium and large initiatives
  • Coordinate daily deployments and verify release quality
  • Track and document developers’ estimated vs. actual hours for tickets
  • Monitor and report site speed and other web performance metrics; report results from optimization experiments
  • Enforce visual and editorial protocol standards for marketing, outreach, and engagement changes
  • Act as the liaison between digital leadership and editorial/publishing teams on all active builds

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project or product management (required)
  • Proven ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical staff
  • Track record of managing multiple short- and long-term projects simultaneously
  • Experience enforcing protocols and coordinating work across departments and vendors
  • Comfortable responding quickly to staff technical questions via Slack, Asana, or similar tools
  • Strong meeting facilitation and agenda-setting skills
  • Expert knowledge of Asana (required)
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Page Insights, and other web analytics/performance tools, with the ability to interpret traffic and performance data
  • Understanding of front-end and back-end development processes and how they affect delivery and scope

Preferred

  • Background or experience in media, publishing, or newsroom product roles (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with paywalls or subscription products
  • Experience documenting and reporting development capacity and velocity

Compensation & Employment

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Salary: $80,500 per year (base)
  • This position may be covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
