Confidential Client is hiring a Digital Assurance & Transparency (DAT) Associate (entry-level) for a full-time role in Talcott Village, CT. This position focuses on applying auditing methodologies, IT controls, and AI-enabled tools to support financial reporting, risk identification, and IT governance. Ideal candidates are early-career professionals or final-year students bringing curiosity, teamwork, and an interest in digital assurance.
What You’ll Do
- Support client engagements using auditing methodologies and IT controls to improve financial reporting accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Help identify process and IT risks, and assist in designing and testing controls to mitigate those risks.
- Use artificial intelligence platforms and analytics to streamline audit workflows and increase efficiency.
- Contribute to IT governance and internal control framework development to improve operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engagement teams; practice active listening to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Participate in evaluation and testing of internal controls and compliance activities.
- Apply intellectual curiosity to research innovative approaches and tools for client challenges.
- Build foundational knowledge in digital assurance to support broader assurance objectives.
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer & Information Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Prior to starting full-time, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or meet the educational requirements for CISA licensure.
- Entry-level / client service associate candidates are expected to have completed or be in the final academic year of their degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher (preferred).
- Experience or familiarity with AI/automation tools applied to audit or assurance workflows.
- Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a growth mindset.
- Familiarity with IT governance, internal controls, and process assurance concepts.
- Demonstrated teamwork, communication, and active listening skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (posted): $53,500 - $104,000 per year. Actual pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable employment laws.
- All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus (per client policy).
- Typical benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement savings (401k), paid holidays, vacation, and personal/family sick leave; specifics are determined by the hiring client.
