Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Digital Assurance & Transparency (DAT) Associate to join an Assurance practice in Hartford, CT. This role supports client engagements that strengthen financial reporting, IT controls, and governance while applying emerging tools — including AI — to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.


What You’ll Do

  • Support client engagements by applying auditing methodologies and IT controls.
  • Develop process-assurance skills and identify risk areas to improve client outcomes.
  • Use AI platforms and data tools to streamline audit workflows and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Collaborate across teams to uphold compliance, governance, and internal control standards.
  • Listen actively to client needs and help design tailored solutions.
  • Evaluate internal controls and participate in testing to support regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to IT governance framework development and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Assist in risk identification and remediation activities within client operations.
  • Build foundational knowledge in digital assurance to support accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications (What You Must Have)

  • Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum overall GPA: 3.0.
  • Prior to starting full-time, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or the educational requirements for CISA licensure.
  • Entry-level candidates finishing their final academic year or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future (no H‑1B sponsorship available for this role).

  • Overall GPA of 3.5+.
  • Experience or interest in applying AI/data tools to auditing or process improvements.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and strong desire to learn.
  • Familiarity with auditing methodology, IT governance, and internal controls.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and active-listening skills.
  • Aptitude for risk identification and compliance work.

Travel & Work Model

  • Travel: Up to 20%.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position in Hartford, CT (work model specifics to be confirmed with Confidential Client).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $53,500 – $104,000 per year (actual pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable employment laws).
  • Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
  • Benefits typically include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and paid sick leave. Specific benefit details will be provided by Confidential Client.
