What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Digital Assurance & Transparency (DAT) Associate to support assurance engagements focused on financial reporting accuracy, IT controls, and emerging audit technologies. In this role you will work on client teams to apply auditing methodologies, evaluate internal controls, and use AI-enabled tools to increase audit quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Support client engagements by applying auditing methodologies and testing IT controls.
  • Help identify process and control risks and recommend practical mitigation.
  • Use AI and analytics platforms to streamline audit workflows and improve insight.
  • Assist in evaluating internal controls and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to IT governance and process-assurance activities that improve operational efficiency.
  • Document findings, prepare work papers, and communicate results to the engagement team.
  • Collaborate with teammates and actively listen to client needs to develop tailored solutions.
  • Apply intellectual curiosity to identify innovative approaches and learning opportunities.

What You Must Have (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer & Information Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Before starting full-time, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment OR meet the educational requirements for CISA licensure.
  • Entry-level candidates—final academic year completers or recent graduates—are encouraged to apply.

  • Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher (preferred).
  • Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI and analytics to create efficiencies and drive outcomes.
  • Familiarity with auditing methodologies, IT governance, and internal control frameworks.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and eagerness to learn.
  • Effective teamwork, communication, and active listening skills.
  • Interest in risk identification, compliance, and regulatory governance.

Travel & Work Requirements

  • Travel: up to 20% (client engagements as needed).
  • This role is based in Charlotte, NC (local candidates preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $53,500 - $104,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and applicable employment laws.
  • All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus where applicable.
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement (401k), paid holidays, vacation, and personal/family sick leave. Specific benefits are provided by the hiring organization.
