What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Cleared DevOps Engineer to support production, test, and development environments that process large-scale, near-real-time analytics for intelligence and defense customers. You will design, deploy, and maintain automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational tooling to ensure high uptime, secure systems, and rapid, reliable delivery.

  • Maintain development, test, and production environments with a focus on stability and uptime
  • Build and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines to maximize deployment efficiency and reduce risk
  • Implement system hardening and configuration management best practices
  • Develop backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring solutions
  • Build and maintain deployment tools, microservices, and operational utilities
  • Test system integrity and implement infrastructure improvements
  • Manage code deployments, patches, and updates across environments
  • Work with open-source tooling and common DevOps platforms
  • Provide technical support and collaborate with development teams to integrate operational requirements
  • Stay current with industry trends and introduce improvements to tooling and processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • ~0–2 years related experience (Entry-Level position)
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with metrics/monitoring and dashboards (Grafana)
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management tools and practices
  • Familiarity with system administration across common OS environments
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and source control (Git, SVN); Jenkins experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; available to work extended hours occasionally
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must hold Top Secret clearance with current SCI access and CI Polygraph (required)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AWS and cloud management
  • Experience with Puppet or other configuration management frameworks
  • Database experience and familiarity with operational database tasks
  • Experience developing automation scripts and small microservices for ops
  • CompTIA Security+ or willingness to obtain certification
  • Prior exposure to Intelligence Community or DoD mission sets

Compensation & Logistics

  • Pay range: $68,770 — $116,193 per year (range provided by Confidential Client)
  • Employment type: Full-Time, Onsite (workstyle: Onsite)
  • Travel: 0% – 25% as required
  • Relocation assistance: Provided (per posting)
  • Clearance: Top Secret (SCI with CI Polygraph) — current access required
  • Experience level: Entry-Level (0–2 years)
