Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level DevOps Engineer I (New Grad) to join their Denver, CO engineering team. This is a 3-month temporary engagement with hands-on training and exposure to CI/CD, containers, cloud infrastructure, and automation. There is potential to convert to regular employment based on performance and business need.
What You’ll Do
- Learn and assist with software deployment, operations, and the evolution of cloud-based systems.
- Support and help refine CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) under senior guidance.
- Assist in deploying and scaling containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Help provision and manage cloud resources with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and support Azure-based solutions while applying security best practices.
- Participate in building and refining Docker images for development and test environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot deployment issues, and contribute to reliability improvements.
- Follow established security guidelines and collaborate with security teams on secure deployments.
- Experiment with emerging tools and automation techniques to modernize workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
- 0–2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud, or systems administration (entry-level/new grad welcome).
- Basic understanding of Linux and comfort with the command line.
- Introductory exposure to CI/CD concepts, Docker, and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with basic scripting (Bash, Python) or coursework/projects demonstrating scripting ability.
- Strong desire to learn, adapt, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance (ITAR and export-control eligibility required).
Preferred Skills
- Any hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) or relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tooling.
- Internship or project experience demonstrating continuous learning and practical application of DevOps practices.
Compensation & Location
- Base salary (Denver, CO): $75,000 (annual).
- Work location: Onsite in Denver, CO. Travel to other sites as needed.
- Employment type: Temporary (3-month engagement) with potential for conversion; full-time responsibilities expected during the engagement.

- This role is onsite and may involve typical office environmental conditions (sitting, occasional lifting, commuting, and onsite collaboration).
