What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Development Operations Coordinator to support the Development team with administrative, operational, and basic analytical tasks. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, proactive, and interested in renewable energy and energy storage project development. The position reports to the Director of Development and offers clear growth into a Development Associate-level role as responsibilities expand.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Development team (calendar management, meeting coordination, travel and logistics as needed)
- Book meeting venues and coordinate on-site/off-site team meetings, including ordering food, setting up rooms, and managing vendor communications
- Support real estate and project administration activities: scheduling payments, tracking key dates, preparing materials for approvals
- Coordinate procurement of signatures and routing for internal approvals; record and organize real estate documents and filings
- Maintain organized digital and physical files for active projects; ensure version control and easy retrieval of critical documents
- Perform light office-support tasks for the Development team (shipping/receiving, notarization, supplies, project swag)
- Keep the team’s single source of truth current by updating trackers, databases, and shared folders with accurate project information
- Support recurring reporting and analytics by collecting inputs, validating data, and producing updates and dashboards
- Help improve and automate processes over time (streamline trackers, create templates, basic automation in Excel/Google Sheets/Power BI or similar)
- Support data analysis and visualization for team presentations
- Work with subject matter experts to document Standard Operating Procedures
- Pitch in on ad hoc projects; role scope will grow with demonstrated ability and initiative
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 0–2 years of professional experience (internships, part-time roles, or leadership experience considered)
- Demonstrated interest in energy or energy storage (internships, coursework, student groups, etc.)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel); interest in learning data tools and automation
- Analytical mindset and willingness to learn (trackers, basic reporting, process improvement)
- Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to take on “no task too small”
- Ability to work legally in the United States is required
Compensation & Benefits
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Estimated base (per aggregator): $64,451 per year (estimated)
- Salary: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience; performance bonus potential

- Location: Primary work location — Mundelein, IL. Local or regional candidates preferred. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 2 days in office required (may vary by project needs).
- Travel: Limited; occasional travel for team off-sites or project meetings may be required
