Role Summary & What You’ll Do

This opportunity is for a Mid-Level DevOps / Platform Engineer supporting an intelligence community program. You will design, build, and operate platform infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that enable development teams to deliver secure, highly available software. Work includes Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management, Helm chart development, automation (Ansible), GitOps/CI-CD integration, and observability for distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and operate Kubernetes clusters and related platform tooling
• Develop and maintain Helm charts and application deployment configurations
• Integrate and maintain GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Automate infrastructure using Ansible and other IaC/automation tools
• Manage Elasticsearch clusters, Logstash pipelines, and Kibana dashboards for logging/observability
• Support MongoDB-backed systems and assist with cluster performance tuning
• Implement and maintain PKI and certificate-based authentication for services
• Collaborate with software, systems, and security engineers to ensure secure, scalable deployments
• Create program review materials and brief technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Provide production support and participate in incident response as required

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph (required)
• Bachelor's degree (per source requirement) or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management
• Experience developing and maintaining Helm charts
• Familiarity with GitOps tools and CI/CD pipeline integration
• Infrastructure-as-Code and automation experience (Ansible preferred)
• Experience managing Elasticsearch (cluster management, ingestion, performance)
• Familiarity supporting MongoDB-backed systems
• Experience with PKI, certificate-based auth, and RESTful service integrations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with JIRA and Confluence

Preferred / Nice-to-have

• Experience with multi-site/high-availability deployments (availability zones)
• Background in observability tooling and tuning (Logstash, Kibana)
• Prior experience in the U.S. federal/intel community or working on classified programs
• Experience preparing program briefings and stakeholder-facing materials
