Role Overview
You will join a confidential client building voice automation, AI agents, and large-language-model solutions for the healthcare ecosystem. This hybrid Designer + Full Stack Engineer role combines end-to-end product design with hands-on full-stack development. You’ll own user flows, prototypes, and polished interfaces for clinical and pharmacy users — then implement those experiences in production across front-end and back-end systems. This is a high-ownership role for a versatile maker who moves fluently between Figma and production code and prioritizes reliability, privacy, and usability in demanding healthcare workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Own product design end-to-end: user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished, accessible UI
- Translate complex pharmacy and healthcare workflows into clean, intuitive interfaces
- Build and ship full‑stack features across front-end and back-end systems
- Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., React + TypeScript)
- Implement back-end services, APIs, and data models that power the product
- Integrate with EHRs (Epic, athenahealth) and pharmacy management systems (Liberty/RedSail)
- Maintain and evolve a design system for consistency across the platform
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer teams to iterate quickly
- Ensure work meets security, privacy, and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITECH)
- Balance craft with velocity — ship high-quality work at startup pace
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of combined experience in product/UX design and full-stack software development
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating UX/UI work and shipped product interfaces
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) and design-system thinking
- Full-stack development experience with modern front-end frameworks (React/TypeScript preferred) and back-end services
- Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and web application architecture
- Ability to work independently and own features from concept through production
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and building for healthcare, clinical, or pharmacy users
- Experience with EHRs (Epic, athenahealth) or pharmacy management systems (Liberty/RedSail)
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and designing for high-stakes workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience at an early- or growth-stage company shaping product and design foundations
