What You’ll Do

This entry-level Designer / Drafter will join the Planning Team and work alongside planning and design professionals to develop technical and design solutions under general supervision. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week in the Pleasanton, CA office.

• Undertake assignments applying standard architectural and planning techniques for small projects or segments of larger projects
• Produce design layouts and presentation materials after researching and compiling project information
• Review drawings and designs for adherence to specifications and implement changes as directed
• Support project teams and assist other staff members as required

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor’s in Architecture (or Master’s in Architecture) with a minor/emphasis in Urban Planning; Master’s in Urban Planning, City & Regional Planning, or equivalent is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with Revit / BIM and AutoCAD
• Experience with SketchUp modeling and Adobe Photoshop; strong experience preparing presentation materials
• Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, organization, and ability to work both independently and in teams
• Problem-solving mindset with strong follow-through and good listening skills
• Commitment to professional growth in design, architecture, or planning
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions — visa sponsorship is not available for this role

• Salary range: $70,500 – $75,000 per year (placement within range depends on experience, education, and project complexity)
