What You’ll Do
This entry-level Designer / Drafter will join the Planning Team and work alongside planning and design professionals to develop technical and design solutions under general supervision. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week in the Pleasanton, CA office.
- Undertake assignments applying standard architectural and planning techniques for small projects or segments of larger projects
- Produce design layouts and presentation materials after researching and compiling project information
- Review drawings and designs for adherence to specifications and implement changes as directed
- Support project teams and assist other staff members as required
Qualifications
- Completion of a Bachelor’s in Architecture (or Master’s in Architecture) with a minor/emphasis in Urban Planning; Master’s in Urban Planning, City & Regional Planning, or equivalent is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with Revit / BIM and AutoCAD
- Experience with SketchUp modeling and Adobe Photoshop; strong experience preparing presentation materials
- Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, organization, and ability to work both independently and in teams
- Problem-solving mindset with strong follow-through and good listening skills
- Commitment to professional growth in design, architecture, or planning
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions — visa sponsorship is not available for this role
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,500 – $75,000 per year (placement within range depends on experience, education, and project complexity)
