What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking a Deployment Support Planner (Logistics Planner 2) to provide deployment planning, force management, and global force allocation support across the USCENTCOM AOR in support of 9AF AFCENT/A3. You will deliver analytical support, ensure data accuracy in deployment systems, coordinate contingency and exercise requirements, and advise Functional Area Managers (FAMs) on sourcing and message development to enable mission success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and analytical support for 9AF AFCENT deployment planning activities.
- Manage and validate Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) for contingency, exercise, and steady-state operations.
- Facilitate OFAMO actions and ensure FAMs have proper system access and training in accordance with AFI 10‑401.
- Identify, validate, and place requirements in the GFMAP using JOPES, DCAPES, JCRM and FRED; track sourcing and recommend corrective actions.
- Support manpower and personnel planning for emergent and enduring operations.
- Process Air Force support requests to other services’ contingency requirements and support RFF actions.
- Build and monitor contingency requirements and DRMDs; manage daily Force Management TMT operations as the TMT SME.
- Draft, staff, and distribute message traffic (FRAGOs, RFFs, DEPORDs, REDEPORDs, OPORDs, GENADMINs) and monitor compliance.
- Coordinate with USAF Commands, Higher Headquarters, and USCENTCOM to ensure 9AF AFCENT equities in the GFMAP.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years relevant experience with a bachelor’s in a related field; OR 1 year with a master’s; OR high school diploma (or equivalent) plus 7 years relevant experience.
- Minimum of three years working with Component Command or NAF‑level (or higher) operating procedures.
- At least three years of experience with JCRM, JOPES, and DCAPES.
- Minimum two years of experience with Global Force Management (GFM) processes and procedures.
- At least one year using Microsoft Office applications and email systems (or equivalent).
- Minimum Secret security clearance required.
- Current/active U.S. passport and ability to deploy forward to AFCENT AOR as needed.
- Required travel: approximately 11–25%.
- Employment type: Full-time (Salaried / Exempt).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting AFCENT, USCENTCOM, or other major joint operational headquarters.
- Familiarity with AFI 10‑401 and deployment planning guidance.
- Demonstrated expertise in DRMD development and TPFDD management for contingency operations.
- Experience coordinating sourcing and validation across multiple stakeholders.
Physical & Additional Requirements
- Job performance normally requires only minor lifting and carrying of records or equipment.
- The listed salary range is provided in good faith: $47,453.00 - $58,000.00 per year (estimate). Final pay considerations may include education, experience, and skills.
