What You’ll Do
This position supports a federally mandated, statewide On-the-Job Training (OJT) program. You will act as a technician and primary point of contact for contractors, subcontractors, and unions to ensure program compliance and successful trainee placement. This role also coordinates the Gaining Perspective in Success (GPS) program and requires travel and a valid driver’s license to conduct in-person interviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary liaison for prime contractors, subcontractors, and unions on OJT matters
- Monitor and enforce federal OJT program regulations and reporting requirements
- Coordinate and administer the GPS program and support OJT-related committee meetings
- Conduct interviews and on-site visits with trainees and contractors (valid driver’s license required)
- Maintain program records, prepare compliance and status reports, and track trainee progress
- Provide outreach and training to contractors and partners about program requirements and best practices
- Support audits and respond to regulatory inquiries as needed
Qualifications
Education
- Education typically acquired through completion of high school
Experience — Level-based (applicants will be considered at the appropriate level based on education & experience)

Departmental Technician 7: One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service (or 2 years of college may substitute).

Departmental Technician 8: One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service, OR one year of experience as a technician/paraprofessional equivalent to entry level (Bachelor’s degree may substitute).

Departmental Technician E9: One year of supervisory experience of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level OR one year performing administrative support activities at the 9-level OR two years as a technician or paraprofessional including one year equivalent to the intermediate level (Bachelor’s degree + one year job-related experience may substitute).

Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly salary range: $23.23 — $31.91 per hour (range reflects entry-level through experienced levels; exact rate depends on qualifications and selected classification)
