Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Delinquency Control Counselor to manage early-stage delinquent consumer loan and credit card accounts (1–30 days past due). This role combines high-volume call-center collections with financial counseling: you will contact members, resolve account issues, negotiate payment arrangements, and document interactions while following federal regulations and internal policies. This is a contract, hybrid position based in Pensacola, FL.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls (auto-dialer) to members with accounts 1–30 days delinquent
  • Conduct compassionate, member-focused financial counseling to identify payment solutions
  • Negotiate and document payment arrangements while meeting performance and quality metrics
  • Use multiple systems simultaneously to research accounts, update notes, and escalate when needed
  • Meet daily call volume expectations (typically 80–120+ calls/day) while maintaining accuracy
  • Ensure full compliance with federal regulations and Confidential Client policies during every interaction

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume call center environment preferred
  • Comfortable managing both inbound and outbound calls using an auto-dialer system
  • Experience handling early-stage collections or account resolution (1–30 days delinquent) preferred
  • Ability to meet performance metrics in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (retail, sales, customer-facing backgrounds valued)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication, multitasking, and critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented, accurate data entry and documentation skills

Preferred Background

  • Experience in retail, hospitality, sales, banking, or other customer service environments
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome objections and negotiate payment plans
  • Empathetic approach to member interactions with strong problem-solving orientation

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $17.00 per hour
  • Employment Type: Contract (Full-time)
