Position Overview

This is a Dedicated Lending Associate (SAFE Act) role supporting a Confidential Client in the Accounting & Finance industry. The Associate works with Home Lending Officers to deliver mortgage lending services, manage loan pipelines, coordinate underwriting and operations, and provide high-quality customer service throughout the loan lifecycle. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Indian Creek, IL.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver mortgage lending services in partnership with assigned Home Lending Officer(s): borrower intake, advising on mortgage options, quoting rates/terms, and handling follow-ups.
  • Collect and validate borrower documentation from clients and third-party sources (title companies, real estate agents).
  • Prepare and submit loan files to underwriting; apply judgment to determine required documentation.
  • Monitor application pipeline and key dates (consent, rate lock, lock expiration, anticipated close) and communicate timelines to clients.
  • Support marketing efforts for the Home Lending Officer, including outreach events, open houses, and realtor engagement.
  • Coordinate with Operations to transfer files and provide any documents required by processors and underwriters.
  • Manage customer inquiries and maintain strong relationships with assigned book of business.
  • Uphold compliance, assess risk, and escalate control issues; act in accordance with applicable laws, firm policy, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in Mortgage / Loan Origination.
  • Banking experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives clearly to customers.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending rules and regulations (including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA).
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively to grow branch or community relationships.
  • This role requires registration as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and annual maintenance of that registration, including providing the unique identifier to consumers per SAFE Act requirements.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent accepted with at least 2 years of relevant loan origination experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Primary location full-time salary range: $72,000 — $105,000 per year.
  • In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary/formulaic incentive and retention awards.
