The Opportunity

Confidential Client is seeking an Associate to join their Deals — Deal Valuation team in Pico Heights, CA. In this role you’ll contribute to valuation engagements for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other financial transactions. You will analyze financial information, build models, apply valuation methodologies for business entities and intangible assets, and help clients make data-driven decisions. This is a learning-focused, client-facing role with strong exposure to technical valuation work and opportunities to grow your professional brand.

Responsibilities

• Perform valuation engagements for corporate finance and professional services projects
• Support client engagements with financial analysis, modeling, and documentation
• Apply valuation methodologies for business entities and intangible assets
• Assist with impairment testing and intellectual property valuation analyses
• Gather and analyze information from multiple sources to identify trends and value drivers
• Contribute to team deliverables, deliver high-quality work on schedule, and adapt to changing project requirements
• Build and maintain productive client relationships and support team collaboration
• Continue professional development and expand technical knowledge and firm technology resources

What You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Quantitative Finance, or related field
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (valuation, corporate finance, or related analytical work)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Prior experience performing valuation engagements
• Experience valuing intangible assets and performing impairment testing
• Strong financial modeling and derivatives knowledge
• CFA, ASA, or other relevant credentials (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $63,000 - $140,000 (range provided by the confidential client; actual pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law).
• Eligible for annual discretionary bonus where applicable.
• Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Specific offerings will be provided by the confidential client.
