Position overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Experienced Associate to join their Deals — Deal Valuation team in Pico Heights, CA. In this role you will support valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring, and other transactions. You’ll build financial models, analyze transaction and market data, and help translate technical findings into clear deliverables that inform client decisions.


What you’ll do

  • Analyze financial statements, transaction data, and market information to support valuation work for M&A, divestitures, and restructuring.
  • Build and maintain financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF) and comparable company analyses.
  • Gather and synthesize information from client materials, public filings, and internal research sources.
  • Prepare valuation support materials, presentation decks, and written summaries that communicate insights clearly.
  • Review model assumptions and calculations for consistency and accuracy across deliverables.
  • Support project coordination: track tasks, meet deadlines, and respond to shifting transaction timelines.
  • Learn and apply quantitative finance and corporate finance concepts to assess deal structures and value drivers.
  • Participate in feedback and development activities to build technical and commercial skills.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in valuation, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or related analytical work.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling concepts (DCF, comps, sensitivity analysis).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to summarize technical analyses for non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & benefits

  • Salary range: $63,000 - $140,000 per year. Actual pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
  • Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
  • Benefits commonly offered include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and personal/sick leave (benefit specifics vary by employer and location).
