What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Strategic Data Scientist to translate complex healthcare and product data into high-impact business insights. In this role you will partner with client success and product teams to measure portfolio performance, uncover opportunities, and deliver data-driven recommendations that improve outcomes for clients and patients.
- Drive proactive analyses of portfolio performance, customer needs, and market trends
- Apply statistical and predictive modeling to identify drivers of value and forecast outcomes
- Build and present clear visualizations and narrative-driven reports for internal stakeholders and external clients
- Monitor client portfolio health and provide regular business reviews and escalation when needed
- Partner with account teams on complex client requests and support issue resolution
- Recommend enhancements to product value and analytical processes to increase client impact
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with client success teams and external clients through data storytelling
- Deliver actionable analyses on customer behavior, risk/opportunity, and portfolio trends
- Use advanced statistical techniques (regression, segmentation, forecasting, multivariate analysis) and machine learning where appropriate
- Create compelling dashboards and reports (Tableau, Power BI, Excel) tailored to stakeholder needs
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators and escalate issues proactively
- Translate findings into recommendations that influence product, operations, and go-to-market strategy
- Develop domain expertise in the supported accounts and the pharmaceutical ecosystem to provide relevant insights
Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent experience in data analytics, business, public health, statistics, or a related field
- 5–7 years of analytics experience, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry settings
- Strong understanding of data science methodologies (decision trees, segmentation, factor analysis, regression, forecasting)
- Experience with statistical tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, SAS, or similar
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills for data querying and validation
- Experience building dashboards and visual reports in Tableau, Power BI, and/or Excel
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex data quickly and accurately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Tools & Technical Skills
- Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling
- SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Tableau, Power BI, or Excel for visualization and reporting
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and predictive modeling
- Comfortable working with large datasets and translating results into business recommendations
