Role Overview

Confidential Client is looking for an entry-level Data Scientist with strong Python development skills who enjoys solving technical problems using data. You will work on client-facing projects, build data pipelines and analytics, and expand your experience in machine learning and AI. This is a full-time opportunity based in Texas (TX). Candidates must be open to relocation or travel across the U.S. depending on project needs.

What You’ll Do

• Develop production-quality Python code for data processing, analysis, and model building
• Extract, clean, and analyze raw datasets to generate business insights
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support data pipelines and reporting
• Build, test, and consume RESTful APIs to integrate data systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders on technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, version control workflows, and agile development ceremonies

What We’re Looking For (Required)

• 1+ year of professional software development experience, using Python regularly
• Strong understanding of data fundamentals:
  • SQL queries and relational data
  • Data structures and data cleaning
  • Working with raw datasets
  • REST APIs
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills for client-facing work
• Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices
• Exposure to machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs in production environments
• Interest in expanding skills in AI/ML and deploying models
