Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry‑level Data Scientist based in Texas (TX). This full‑time, client‑facing role is ideal for an early‑career professional with solid Python development experience who wants to grow into AI/ML project work. Candidates should be open to relocating within the United States based on project needs.

What You’ll Do

You will work on data projects that support client engagements and internal initiatives. Typical responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain Python code for data processing, analysis, and model prototypes
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and prepare datasets
• Work with raw datasets to clean, transform, and validate data for analysis
• Consume and/or build RESTful APIs to integrate data pipelines and services
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Git and standard software development practices
• Support experiments and initial ML model development using common frameworks

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional software development experience where Python is used regularly
• Solid understanding of data fundamentals, including SQL and data structures
• Experience working with REST APIs and raw datasets
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate technical work clearly in client‑facing settings
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows (code review, CI)
• Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
