What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Data Scientist to contribute to client-facing projects. You will use Python and data fundamentals to help turn raw data into analysis, models, and production-ready features.

  • Work with raw datasets to clean, explore, and transform data for analysis and modeling
  • Write and maintain Python code for data processing, analysis, and model training
  • Build and optimize SQL queries to extract and validate data for projects
  • Collaborate with engineers and client teams to integrate models via RESTful APIs
  • Validate model performance and document results for stakeholders
  • Follow version control and collaborative development practices (Git)
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to clients and internal teams

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of professional software development experience using Python as a primary tool
  • Strong understanding of data fundamentals, including SQL, data structures, and working with raw datasets
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and consuming or building API endpoints
  • Ability to write clean, testable code and document work for team use
  • Comfortable working on client-facing projects and explaining technical work to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows
  • Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs in production or near-production environments
  • Willingness to relocate within the United States based on project needs
