What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to turn data into actionable insights and production-ready models that improve decision-making across the business. In this role you will:

• Design, build, and validate predictive models and machine learning solutions for real-world business problems
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into data-driven solutions
• Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering on structured and unstructured datasets
• Productionize models and maintain model performance, including monitoring and retraining strategies
• Write clean, well-documented code and deploy models using reproducible pipelines
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

You should have a mix of practical modeling experience, software-oriented thinking, and strong communication skills:

• 3+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a closely related field
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and strong SQL skills
• Experience building and evaluating supervised and unsupervised models
• Solid understanding of statistics, experimental design, and evaluation metrics
• Experience with data pipelines or workflow orchestration (ETL, Airflow, dbt, or similar)
• Familiar with model deployment patterns and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) — production experience a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex results clearly

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Background working with text data / NLP (embedding models, classification, information extraction)
• Domain experience in recruiting, HR tech, staffing analytics, or marketplace products
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms
