The Opportunity

Confidential Client is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Research & Development team in Tampa, FL. This hybrid role (in-office ~3 days/week) focuses on building scalable analytics and machine learning solutions that deliver measurable business value. You will work with product and engineering partners to turn complex data into repeatable models and insights.

What You’ll Do

• Implement scalable analytical solutions and production-ready models
• Build complex datasets and feature stores from disparate sources
• Create project plans, test approaches, and evaluate results to answer business questions
• Perform exploratory data analysis and apply data-mining techniques
• Document methodology, feature engineering, and model-development decisions
• Present findings and support internal teams to articulate processes and results

Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of statistics, machine learning and deep learning, and data-mining algorithms
• Hands-on experience coding in Python
• Proficiency with SQL and experience working with large data sets
• Practical experience with Git and source control workflows
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative/technical field (required)

• Graduate degree or coursework in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or Data Engineering
• Experience deploying models or building feature stores for production environments

Who You’ll Work With

You will report to the Senior Director of AI and Machine Learning and collaborate closely with data engineers, product managers, and client-facing teams to design and deliver data-driven solutions that optimize pricing, menus, and financial performance for hospitality clients.
