What You’ll Do

• Conduct intermediate to moderately complex analyses across structured and unstructured data to uncover patterns and inform business decisions.
• Mine, audit, aggregate, validate, and reconcile data from multiple sources to produce reliable inputs for reporting and modeling.
• Develop components of predictive and prescriptive systems to optimize operations and support strategic initiatives.
• Build dashboards and visual reports that communicate status, trends, and variances to stakeholders using Power BI (and similar tools).
• Use SQL and other analytics tools to extract, transform, and load data; create repeatable queries and data pipelines.
• Apply statistical methods and hypothesis testing to answer business questions and support recommendations.
• Work with business and technology partners to identify data needs, acquire relevant data, and operationalize analytics deliverables.
• Present concise written analyses and deliver oral presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay current with analytics and industry practices; consult with partners to prioritize high-value analytics work.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, operations research, data science, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Strong SQL database management skills.
• Experience building visual dashboards and reports (Power BI or equivalent).
• Experience with variance analysis and familiarity with enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft and Cognos Business Intelligence.
• Prior experience supporting a utility or similarly regulated industry is strongly preferred.

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Proficiency in analytics and statistical tools such as R, Python, SAS, or SPSS.
• Experience with large-data technologies and platforms (Hadoop, data lakes) and data engineering best practices.
• Experience creating predictive models and applying prescriptive analytics.
• Strong data visualization skills and experience translating complex analyses into business-focused insights.
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Compensation & Physical Requirements

• Compensation Range: $87,633.00 - $109,543.00 (USD, annual)
• Compensation Grade: SP20-007
• Physical Demand Level: S – Sedentary Work (exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally; mostly sitting with occasional walking or standing).
