What You’ll Do

  • Interpret and analyze structured and unstructured data using exploratory statistical techniques and the scientific method.
  • Clean, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources using programming and ETL best practices.
  • Design and run experiments; translate results into actionable recommendations and data-driven solutions.
  • Build predictive and prescriptive models, including forecasting, clustering, and classification approaches.
  • Develop and apply NLP, text-mining, RPA, and other advanced analytics techniques to real-world problems.
  • Work with Data Engineers to design data environments and pipelines; automate data workflows.
  • Use distributed processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud data platforms to analyze large-scale datasets.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, R Shiny) to communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Implement algorithms and production-ready models using Python, R, or similar analytical languages.
  • Mentor and instruct others in Data Science practices and methods.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience applying data science methods to production or mission problems.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages used for analytics (Python, R, Java, C++, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile development practices and Git-based workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required (Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related). Master’s preferred. Education requirements may be waived for demonstrable, extensive professional experience and an available reviewable portfolio.
  • Demonstrable ability to turn complex technical results into concise, non-technical briefings.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Active or prior experience supporting DoD/SOCOM or other government mission sets.
  • Capability/comfort with obtaining Top Secret/SCI clearances.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Cloudera, IBM Cloud Pak, or similar modern data/ML platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Spark, Hadoop, and cloud-based ETL/processing.
  • Familiarity with RPA frameworks and advanced NLP toolkits.
  • Strong data visualization experience with Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny.

Location & Security

  • Location: Fort Bragg (Fort Liberty), NC — onsite/mission-aligned work.
  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and currently hold an active Secret clearance. Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI is strongly preferred.
  • This position cannot sponsor work visas (e.g., H-1B).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Target: $105,000–$125,000 per year (DOE).
  • Confidential client offers a full benefits package for eligible employees. Exact benefits depend on the role and employment arrangement.
