What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a hands-on Data Scientist to partner with product, growth, and leadership teams to shape product strategy through data, experimentation, and machine learning. You will deliver measurable product and business outcomes by owning analytics projects end-to-end.

  • Prioritize and lead analytics and ML initiatives that uncover product and business opportunities.
  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B experiments and funnel analyses to improve user journeys and engagement.
  • Build, validate, and deploy ML models and predictive analyses to inform personalization and growth strategies.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and marketing to instrument product events, ensure data quality, and translate insights into product roadmaps.
  • Communicate results and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders; produce dashboards and executive-ready reports.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making across product teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (statistics, economics, applied math, engineering, or related). Advanced degrees preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in data science or analytics roles.
  • Strong experience with experimentation (A/B testing), product analytics, and deriving actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Practical experience building or applying ML models and performing causal inference or uplift analyses.
  • Proficiency in data tools and languages (e.g., Python, SQL); experience with data pipelines, BI tools, or ML platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to influence product and business decisions.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and drives projects to completion.

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)

  • Experience on consumer or growth-focused product teams.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, event schema design, and analytics governance.
  • Exposure to cloud ML platforms and model deployment at scale.

Compensation & Benefits

The U.S. pay range for this position is $133,100 – $236,400 annually. Pay within this range will vary based on work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • In California, the pay range for this position is $163,200 – $236,400.
  • In Washington, the pay range for this position is $157,900 – $228,575.

Additional compensation details and benefits eligibility will be provided by the recruiter during the hiring process. Certain roles may be eligible for equity awards and variable incentive plans.
