What You’ll Do

This Data Scientist role (on-site in Rockville, MD) helps the confidential client turn complex datasets into actionable insights that speed development, optimize operations, and support business decisions across marketing, sales, R&D, operations, and IT.

  • Curate and clean large datasets; run exploratory data analysis and statistical testing.
  • Design, build, validate, and deploy predictive models and machine learning solutions (marketing, operations, R&D, supply chain).
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Palantir Foundry to surface KPIs and findings to stakeholders.
  • Lead data-pipeline and architecture quality efforts; define and apply data standards and best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams — lab operations, researchers, software engineers, and business experts — in agile settings to translate data into business impact.
  • Evaluate emerging AI/analytics tools and drive proof-of-concept experiments to improve processes and outcomes.

Who You Are (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a closely related role.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL; comfortable with exploratory data analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Experience building dashboards and communicating results to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Rockville, MD.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Biostatistics, or similar.
  • Strong experience with Palantir Foundry, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with GxP or other regulated environments and experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Expertise in machine learning algorithms and model deployment.
  • Deep curiosity about advanced technologies and a track record of cross-functional collaboration.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: $95,100 - $142,600 (annual). The actual offer will depend on experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
  • Position may be eligible for performance-based or sales bonuses.
  • Benefits include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other standard perquisites.

  • This is an on-site role based in Rockville, MD (work location required).
  • Applicants should be able to work on-site as required by the confidential client.
