About the Team

You will join a small analytics team focused on optimizing fulfillment and delivery performance for a high-transaction consumer platform. The team partners closely with Fulfillment ML, Product, and Operations to translate model outputs and operational data into actionable insights that improve buyer experience and lifetime value.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the core analytics partner to Fulfillment ML, Product, and Operations stakeholders — measure model performance and translate findings into product and operational improvements.
  • Design and run randomized experiments (A/B tests) and offline causal analyses to quantify the real-world impact of model and product changes on buyer and seller LTV.
  • Query and model large-scale data in Google BigQuery to answer strategic questions and support roadmap priorities.
  • Build and maintain robust SQL-based rollups, aggregations, and metric frameworks to ensure reliable cross-team reporting.
  • Create and manage interactive dashboards (Looker or similar) to track KPIs like on-time delivery, fulfillment friction, and resolution rates; synthesize trends into clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Investigate carrier performance, fulfillment incidents, and end-to-end buyer delivery experiences to surface optimization opportunities.
  • Communicate complex analytical results simply for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across engineering and product teams to drive implementation.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Strong background in experimental design, A/B testing, and hypothesis-driven statistical analysis.
  • Proven experience building production-ready dashboards and data models in Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Google BigQuery).
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and translate analytics into actionable product or operational recommendations.

Nice-to-Have / Differentiators

  • Direct experience analyzing logistics, supply chain, carrier performance, order resolution, or other fulfillment metrics.
  • Experience in two-sided marketplace environments.
  • Familiarity with causal inference techniques and analytical ML methods (regression, clustering, random forests, propensity score methods).
  • Experience working with clickstream or event-level data.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and modern analytics workflows.

Role Details & Interview Process

  • Employment type: Full-time (Director-level seniority).
  • Small team environment (core analytics team + contractors).
  • Interview steps typically include a hiring manager screen (approx. 45 minutes) and a technical assessment (45 minutes) — possible live coding, technical deep dive, or case study with members of the hiring team.
  • This role may be on-site/hybrid depending on team needs and location.

Location & Compliance

  • This posting is for the position in New York, NY (per hiring authority). Local employment law and pay transparency requirements will be respected for applicants in this location.
