What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s PBM analytics team is hiring a hands-on Data Scientist to develop production-ready ML and Generative AI solutions that improve member experience and operational quality. You will partner with clinical and operational teams to turn complex problems into usable, monitored models and pipelines.

  • Partner closely with clinical and operations SMEs to map processes, identify bottlenecks, and translate needs into technical solutions
  • Design, build, validate, and deploy data science solutions — from predictive models and rules engines to Generative AI (LLM) pipelines
  • Manage end-to-end delivery: data extraction, feature engineering, modeling, production deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle maintenance
  • Extract, curate, and analyze large-scale operational datasets using SQL and Python
  • Create clear, data-driven narratives and presentations for clinical and business leadership to drive action
  • Contribute to squad-level code reviews, version control (Git/GitHub), and CI/CD practices

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years professional experience writing production-grade code in Python and querying complex datasets with SQL
  • 1+ years professional experience building, validating, and deploying machine learning or statistical models (including LLM-based solutions)
  • Experience using Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary squad

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven initiative: independently structure ambiguous problems and engage process owners to define solutions
  • Ability to translate technical model outputs into business risks, opportunities, and operational plans for non-technical audiences
  • Practical experience with LLMs and Generative AI (prompt design, RAG, evaluation frameworks)
  • Experience designing production monitoring: drift detection, alerting, dashboards, and model governance
  • Domain familiarity with healthcare data (e.g., pharmacy claims, clinical workflows, unstructured clinical notes)
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar enterprise cloud environments and AI-assisted development tools

Education & Time Commitment

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field; Master’s or MBA strongly preferred
  • Anticipated weekly hours: 40
  • Time type: Full time

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range (base): $79,310.00 - $173,040.00 per year. Actual base salary depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
