Role Overview

Confidential Client is piloting synthetic-media (deepfake) detection capabilities in a production environment. We’re hiring a Data Scientist - Manager to lead integration and evaluation of one or more Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) SaaS AI/ML detection products, provide multimedia forensic expertise, and develop requirements for broader adoption across Sponsor workflows and cloud infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Support integration of Sponsor-selected COTS deepfake-detection solutions into existing workflows and IT systems
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendor technical points of contact to document integration steps, test plans, and results
• Design, execute, and report on test use cases to evaluate AI/ML COTS performance on real-world multimedia (images, video, audio)
• Develop technical and operational requirements for full adoption of detection technology
• Provide forensic multimedia analysis and subject-matter expertise on deepfake creation/detection methods
• Interface with system engineering, cloud, and operational teams to ensure scalable deployment and lifecycle support

Required Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with Polygraph required (existing clearance only)
• Demonstrated systems engineering experience integrating and documenting COTS capabilities into customer environments
• Demonstrated data science experience evaluating AI/ML capabilities in production or pilot settings
• Experience designing and running evaluation/test cases and reporting measurable results
• Experience working with cloud services and cloud infrastructure for solutions deployment
• Proven multimedia forensics experience (images, video, audio) and working knowledge of current deepfake creation and detection techniques

Preferred / Optional Skills

• Project management experience supporting technical pilots or integrations
• Experience using MS Teams and collaboration platforms for cross-team coordination
• Familiarity with lifecycle processes for handling publicly available information to address specific requirements
• Prior experience integrating solutions within Sponsor-like environments that collect and process publicly available information

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Up to $250,000 (salary is commensurate with education and experience)

Security & Eligibility

This role requires handling classified or controlled information. Candidates must already hold the required clearance (Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph) and be able to maintain eligibility. U.S. citizenship is required.
