What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Data & Analytics team builds and manages data systems, develops machine learning models, and delivers data-driven insights to support automated decisioning. As a Data Scientist & Machine Learning Engineer you will combine applied data science and engineering to move models from experimentation into reliable production services.

  • Translate complex business problems into data, modeling, and machine-learning solutions
  • Collect, clean, transform, and validate data for analysis and model development
  • Explore data to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
  • Design, train, evaluate, and refine predictive or optimization models
  • Select appropriate features, algorithms, metrics, and validation strategies
  • Build reproducible data and machine-learning pipelines
  • Deploy models for batch or real-time inference
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure for reliable model serving
  • Monitor model performance, data quality, drift, latency, and operational health
  • Communicate findings and collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and domain experts
  • Model and promote Confidential Client’s core values through day-to-day interactions
  • Other duties as assigned

Who You Are / What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience developing, deploying, and monitoring production data / ML pipelines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or other quantitative field required; advanced degree (MS/PhD) in AI/ML preferred
  • Deep technical knowledge in one or more: anomaly detection, time-series analysis, structured/unstructured data processing, causal inference, reinforcement learning, embeddings & vector DBs, LLMs, modern MLOps / LLMOps practices
  • Professional experience with platforms and tools such as Airflow, Argo Workflows, BigQuery/Databricks/Snowflake, AWS/GCP, Git, Kubernetes, MLflow, Pandas/Polars, PyTorch/TensorFlow, SHAP, and applying AI/LLMs
  • Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with Shell scripting is a plus
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work with limited or ambiguous information
  • Creative, strategic thinker with strong analytical foundations and a focus on measurable impact
  • Collaborative communicator who excels in cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized with excellent time management, attention to detail, and execution discipline
  • Domain knowledge of the domain name industry or digital identity ecosystem is a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed and work across time zones in a global organization
  • Reliable transportation to the workplace

Location & Work Model

This is a hybrid role based in the Bellevue, WA office. Candidates who live nearby or are willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.


Compensation & Benefits

  • U.S. base salary range for this full-time position: $107,000 - $139,000 (actual pay dependent on experience, internal equity, and location)
  • Eligible for discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plans
  • Comprehensive benefits include subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance; company contributions to an HSA where applicable; company-paid life and disability insurance; optional supplemental plans
  • 401(k) plan with up to a 5% company match
  • Paid time off: 15 days vacation (increases to 20 days after one year), 5 days sick leave, 13 paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave: up to 20 weeks for birthing parents; 12 weeks for others
  • Tuition reimbursement for qualifying expenses (eligibility rules apply)
