What You’ll Do
Confidential client is seeking a Data Scientist I to support analytic work for mission, operational, and business decisions. You'll work under senior supervision to prepare data, run basic analyses, build visualizations, and help maintain analysis artifacts.
- Support collection, cleaning, and preparation of structured and semi-structured data
- Assist with exploratory data analysis and basic statistical assessments
- Develop simple dashboards, visualizations, and analytical summaries for stakeholders
- Document data sources, assumptions, and methodologies to support reproducibility
- Participate in analytic working groups and technical discussions with cross-functional teams
- Assist with maintaining data pipelines, scripts, and analysis artifacts
- Coordinate between data engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders to enable delivery
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required for consideration:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph required
- 1–4 years of experience supporting data analysis or analytics projects
- Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools
- Familiarity with tools such as Jupyter, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
- Basic understanding of statistics and data visualization best practices
- Strong analytical thinking and effective written/verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal, DoD, or Intelligence Community (IC) programs
- Exposure to mission, operational, or enterprise data sets
- Demonstrated capability building repeatable analysis workflows and dashboards
(Note: Position is contingent upon program award.)
Location & Work Model
This role is based in Chantilly, VA. Candidates must be able to work as required by the program and maintain the necessary security clearance. Specific on-site vs. remote work expectations will be set by the confidential client and program requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range (estimated): $105,000 - $215,000 annually. This is a guideline for the geographic location. Final offers consider experience, education, skill level, market factors, and any contractual requirements.
- Benefits and total compensation details will be provided by the confidential client during the hiring process.
Security Clearance
This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Applicants without the required clearance will not be considered.
