About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Data Scientist to join a two-year Data Science Accelerator Program (DSAP). This rotational program is designed to accelerate your hands-on experience across analytics, predictive modeling, and product-focused data science within the insurance and risk domain. The role is hybrid at the Alpharetta, GA headquarters and may include occasional travel.
What You’ll Do
- Support data preparation: assemble, clean, and organize large datasets for analysis
- Merge and parse diverse data sources to uncover trends and patterns
- Apply basic statistical and machine learning techniques under mentorship
- Help document model code, track experiments, and contribute to model validation
- Create attributes and rules from raw data to support analytic initiatives
- Contribute to data visualizations to communicate insights to teammates and stakeholders
- Assist in preparing responses to client inquiries about data, score calculations, or analytic outputs
- Present work and findings clearly in team meetings and project reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business, or related field
- Coursework or project experience in Python or R; familiarity with SQL is a plus
- Interest in predictive modeling, machine learning, and applied analytics
- Exposure to visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn) is desirable
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating in teams
Nice to Have
- Prior internship or project experience working with large datasets or analytic pipelines
- Familiarity with model validation practices and tracking experiments (e.g., Git, MLflow)
- Basic experience with cloud platforms or data engineering concepts
Compensation & Benefits
- U.S. National Base Pay Range: $59,200 - $98,600 (geographic differentials may apply)
- Eligible for an annual incentive bonus
