What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Data Scientist to design, build, and extract large and complex data sets to inform healthcare decisions. You will apply data science methods, document analyses and code, and translate technical results into actionable recommendations for clinical and operational teams.
- Design and extract complex datasets from enterprise sources and data warehouses
- Clean, validate, and document data and analysis workflows
- Develop statistical and machine learning models (e.g., regression, decision trees, classification)
- Use Python, R, and SQL to analyze data and produce reproducible code and reports
- Communicate findings clearly to clinical and business stakeholders; translate results into business improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize opportunities and implement data-driven features
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while escalating issues appropriately
- Maintain documentation, share thought process and code, and promote best practices in data science
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Trained in data science methods such as applied statistics, data engineering, and machine learning [Required]
- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL [Required]
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to tailor messages to diverse audiences [Required]
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and time-sensitive issues [Required]
- Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively [Required]
- Proficient with desktop applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and database management tools [Required]
- Acceptance of and responsiveness to constructive feedback [Required]
- Preferred: 1+ year experience in a healthcare organization and/or a data science role [Preferred]
Nice to Have
- Experience with model interpretation and deployment best practices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or enterprise data platforms
- Experience with healthcare data (EHR systems, claims, clinical registries)
- Familiarity with model evaluation metrics, cross-validation, and feature engineering

Compensation
- Pay range: $68,889.60 - $128,148.80 (annual)
