About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join a confidential client in Fort Meade, MD. You will develop and deploy statistical analytics and cloud-based data solutions that support national security objectives. The role partners closely with intelligence analysts, subject-matter experts, and customers to turn complex data into actionable insights and to transition prototypes into operational systems.
What You’ll Do
- Execute technical work across data science and analytic development efforts within a secure cloud environment.
- Collaborate with customers, intelligence analysts, and subject-matter experts to define analytic requirements and align them to mission goals.
- Prototype, develop, and transition data pipelines and analytics into scalable, operational systems.
- Apply statistical modeling, graph-based analytics, and large-scale data processing to prepare workflows for future machine learning integration.
- Support integration of machine learning solutions into operational systems and contribute to MLOps practices.
- Manage assigned analytic tasks and deliver high-quality technical work on schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, computer science, physics, or related field — OR four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining data workflows in secure cloud environments.
- Familiarity with statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, containerization (e.g., Docker), and MLOps practices.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and technical customers.
- Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
