Data Scientist Expert - Remote

What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Data Scientist Expert to support AI training and evaluation work. You will apply machine learning, statistics, and data-analysis expertise to evaluate model outputs, craft reference solutions, and provide structured feedback that improves model performance.
- Evaluate AI outputs across data science, statistics, ML, and quantitative problem domains
- Create high-quality prompts, curated datasets, and authoritative reference solutions
- Identify statistical errors, flawed methodologies, and weak reasoning in model outputs
- Design and execute experiments to measure model behavior and performance
- Provide clear, actionable written feedback to model-builders and annotators
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize issues and drive improvements
Who We’re Looking For
We want precise, experienced quantitative thinkers who can spot subtle methodological mistakes, produce reliable reference work, and explain technical issues in clear written form.
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and Pandas
- Solid foundation in machine learning and statistics
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis and data modeling
- Experience designing or running experiments (evaluation, holdout tests, or similar)
- Excellent written communication; able to explain technical concepts clearly
Preferred qualifications
- 1+ year of relevant professional experience in technology, finance, research, or similar environments
- Relevant experience within the past 7 years
- Undergraduate degree (from a top-ranked university is desirable)
- Comfortable producing expert-level prompts, solutions, and documentation
- Based in an English-speaking country
