What You’ll Do

As an Entry-Level Data Scientist at Confidential Client you will work with large datasets to build predictive models, run analyses, and translate results into clear business recommendations. This is a hands-on role suited to recent master’s graduates or early-career professionals (0–2 years).

  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and feature engineering
  • Develop, validate, and evaluate machine learning and statistical models (regression, classification, clustering)
  • Write SQL to extract and transform data; use Python for analysis, modeling, and automation
  • Create data visualizations and present findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and business teams to deliver production-ready solutions
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and model performance; keep up with advances in ML/AI

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or closely related) — required
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience; strong academic projects or internships accepted
  • Solid foundation in statistics, probability, and machine learning fundamentals
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; candidate should be open to relocation within the U.S.

Required Technical Skills

  • Python (pandas, scikit-learn or similar)
  • SQL (queries, joins, aggregations)
  • Machine learning fundamentals and model evaluation metrics
  • Data cleaning, feature engineering, and EDA
  • Data visualization (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or similar)

Compensation & Logistics

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Experience level: Entry-level (0–2 years)
  • Location: Denver, CO (on-site or as specified by Confidential Client)
  • Pay: $30–$35 per hour
