Position Summary
Our Confidential Client (Software Development) is hiring a Data Scientist to join a contract engagement in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The role focuses on designing and delivering production-ready machine learning solutions, building end-to-end ML pipelines, and operating models in production using modern MLOps practices.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end ML pipelines for production use.
- Implement, test, and maintain machine learning models with clean, scalable Python code.
- Work with large-scale data using SQL, Spark, or Databricks to prepare features and datasets.
- Integrate models into CI/CD workflows and support automated model deployment and monitoring.
- Define and instrument model monitoring, retraining triggers, and performance alerts.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot model performance in production and iterate on model improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Strong academic foundation in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (Bachelor’s or higher).
- Hands-on Python development skills with an emphasis on readable, testable, and maintainable code.
- Experience designing and deploying machine learning models to production.
- Practical knowledge of MLOps concepts (CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, retraining workflows).
- Experience with large-scale data processing using SQL, Spark, or Databricks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for ML (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Familiarity with model-serving frameworks (e.g., MLflow, Seldon, KFServing, BentoML).
- Experience with cloud platforms and managed Databricks environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Background in feature stores, data versioning (DVC), or experiment tracking.
- Production experience monitoring model drift and implementing automated retraining.
