What You’ll Do
Confidential Client’s AI Center of Excellence (CoE) is hiring a Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy machine learning and natural language processing solutions that deliver measurable business impact across the enterprise. You will work across the AI development lifecycle—data sourcing, model development, testing, governance, and production deployment—collaborating closely with product owners, data engineers, fellow data scientists, and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements and translate business problems into data-driven solutions
- Source, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data to build training datasets
- Develop, evaluate, and iterate machine learning and NLP models (proof-of-concept through production)
- Deploy models and support monitoring/maintenance in on-prem and AWS environments (e.g., SageMaker, Lambda, S3)
- Automate repeatable workflows and build reusable tools to improve team productivity
- Contribute to technology evaluations and adopt emerging ML/AI capabilities (including generative AI and automation ideas)
- Communicate results, assumptions, and limitations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Basic Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field with 1+ years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Practical experience (coursework, internships, research, or professional work) applying machine learning or NLP techniques
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (Confidential Client will not sponsor immigration)
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R; familiarity with SQL
- Foundational understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, evaluation metrics, and model validation
- Exposure to AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, S3, Athena) or other cloud platforms
- Hands-on projects or internship experience in ML, NLP, or generative AI
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Interest in agentic AI, workflow automation, and AI-powered productivity solutions
