What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is looking for a hands-on Data Scientist to join client-facing engagements where you'll build solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights and production-ready models. You will work on data pipelines, implement algorithms, and deliver APIs and tools that stakeholders can use.
- Design, build, and maintain Python-based data processing pipelines
- Analyze and transform raw datasets into clean, usable formats
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation
- Prototype and evaluate machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering)
- Build or consume RESTful APIs to integrate models into applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and follow Git-based development workflows
- Document work, create reproducible experiments, and present findings to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of professional software development experience using Python
- Strong understanding of data fundamentals and working with raw datasets
- Practical experience writing SQL queries
- Familiarity with REST APIs and building/consuming them
- Ability to debug, test, and deliver code in a collaborative environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Authorized to work in the United States (employers may require verification)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Experience deploying models or building production-ready APIs
- Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity about ML/AI techniques
