What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Data Scientist - Associate to help design and deliver generative AI capabilities within its Audit Technology organization. This is an early-career role focused on learning and contributing to production-ready components of LLM-based solutions.

• Help develop and implement generative AI components, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and context-engineering modules.
• Contribute to prompt engineering, optimization, and quality assurance for LLM-powered features.
• Build and test modules that integrate model outputs into a broader microservice architecture.
• Work with tools such as LangChain / LangGraph and Azure AI Search, and learn to operate within an AKS-based deployment environment.
• Execute experiments, document results, and iterate on prototypes to improve product quality.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and product teams.
• Maintain professional standards and contribute to a respectful, inclusive team culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience OR strong internship/academic project experience in data science, machine learning, or software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field required; Master’s preferred.
• Practical Python skills for data analysis and model experimentation.
• Familiarity with machine learning fundamentals and exposure to large language models (LLMs); experience with LangChain or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Experience or exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and data platforms such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and version control tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Strong analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to document technical work clearly.
