What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Data Scientist to support an advanced semiconductor packaging and manufacturing line in Apopka, FL. You will partner with engineering, production, and operations teams to turn production and MES/SAP data into actionable insight that reduces cost, shortens cycle times, and improves throughput.

• Provide hands-on analytics support to the manufacturing floor; collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose problems and deploy solutions
• Use continuous improvement tools and systems thinking to identify waste and optimize product flow from raw material release through delivery
• Extract and merge data from MES, SAP, and other sources to create production metrics and capacity reports
• Build, validate, and maintain data pipelines and data products that operationalize manufacturing data
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to monitor shop-floor performance (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Develop scalable models to optimize scheduling, minimize queue times, and manage work-in-process given capacity and resource constraints
• Lead digital transformation initiatives, including adoption of AI/ML solutions, in alignment with sector and enterprise strategies
• Translate business questions into analytical approaches; take projects from concept through validation and deployment
• Present findings, models, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and frontline leadership

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field plus 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree with 0+ years of experience
• Experience with Tableau development or similar data-application/dashboard development
• Proven experience creating interactive dashboards for business users
• Hands-on experience using data from a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
• Experience merging large datasets from multiple sources and building meaningful metrics/reports
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (ability to comply with clearance requirements)
• U.S. Citizenship (required for roles that require government clearance)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP and generating dashboards from SAP/MRP reports
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and aligning them to executable production plans
• Experience in software development and deployment (productionizing analytical apps)
• Database management, data governance, and building sustainable data structures
• Background in user-focused dashboard design or graphic design for analytics UX
• Experience with time-series analysis and sequence modeling
• Experience implementing Semiconductor SECS/GEM interfaces in a production setting
• Familiarity with Python/R analytics libraries and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Salary & Benefits

• Primary level salary range: $87,200.00 - $130,800.00 (base pay)
• Confidential Client provides a comprehensive benefits package which may include health plans, savings/retirement plans, paid time off, education assistance, training and development, potential overtime/shift differential where applicable, and other benefits.
• Final base pay is determined by role scope, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions.

• Location: Apopka, FL (on-site role supporting a semiconductor/packaging µ-Line)
• Travel: Up to ~10% (as needed to support operations and cross-site activities)
