What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Python-based data processing and machine-learning annotation pipelines for computer vision workloads.
- Implement and maintain rosbag-to-COCO conversion workflows and other automated annotation processes.
- Design and improve UI/UX functionality within annotation tools (e.g., CVAT) to increase annotation quality and throughput.
- Integrate AI/ML models into annotation pipelines to accelerate labeling and QA workflows.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based development workflows on AWS to support scalable model training and deployment.
- Collaborate across engineering teams using GitHub: write pull requests, participate in code reviews, author API integrations, and produce technical design documentation.
- Troubleshoot and optimize coordinate transforms and projection mappings used in 2D-to-3D workflows and multi-sensor fusion.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in software development or data science.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience building production data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with machine-learning or annotation workflows for computer vision.
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub (branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews).
- Familiarity with coordinate transformations and projection mapping (2D ↔ 3D).
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating on cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- JavaScript experience and front-end development familiarity for UI/UX improvements.
- Prior use of CVAT or similar annotation platforms.
- Experience with ROS and rosbag data formats.
- Knowledge of COCO dataset formatting and tooling.
- Experience with BEV fusion or 3D object-detection pipelines.
- Hands-on AWS experience (S3, EC2, ECR, CodePipeline/CodeBuild or equivalent).
- Experience with AI-assisted or agentic development workflows to accelerate annotation and testing.
Additional Details
- Employment type: CONTRACTOR — 24-month long-term contract with potential to convert to permanent employment.
- Location: Onsite in Irving, TX.
- Compensation: Up to $70/hour + benefits (vision, dental, medical insurance, 401(k) and holiday pay).
